M.A. DESIGN INNOVATION AND BRAND MANAGEMENT

This week was a boot camp for upcoming courses with our professor Brian Johnson. We had an Activity where we were supposed to go and discover a book from our library and then preset it supporting - why we chose the certain book. After we chose the books from the library, The class started with introductions and then we had a presentation about the book.

We were told to write a small annotative bibliography regarding the same.

Fig 1 - Laurence King Publishing, Portfolio Series, 2010. EXHIBITION DESIGN by Philip Huges.

Philip Huge’s book offers a great insight into the Design Process that focuses on mainly Exhibitions. The same is mainly seen in chapters ‘THE VISITOR’ and ‘INTERACTION’.

In exhibition design, the Consumer(Visitor) is very important and the displays should be focussed around them. This is Emphasised throughout the book

Being an Undergraduate student of Retail and exhibition design this book helped me to revise my knowledge from my course to inspire from and implement in upcoming courses.

Huges' book is very well researched and is easy to reach for amateurs as well as scholars.
