they say they say culture gives you identity, and so this week we explored cultural background and cultural identity for our marketing design and communication assignment which was to create a cultural concept board depicting various aspects of your identity. we explored various things such as clothing history jewellery music and other lifestyle choices that specifically suggest a certain aspect of a culture. I tried to look at the Maratha empire of India and referred to a few periodic movies to suggest and support the rich culture that came with it. As India is such a big country it was hard to focus on the whole country so I chose a certain periodic and Rich subject.

while looking at the food and other aspects I started missing the Indian food and decided to make something in my accommodation that reminds me of home. so i and my friend we decided to make two dishes called Khaman and dahi wada. even though these dishes originate from other places in India they still remain at home.

This week was reading week and we were given time to study, catch up with her reading and complete assignments. We also recorded a six-member episode for our podcast which was a huge undertaking as the equipment required was more as well as we recorded the session in video and audio format as well. we recorded this outside the studio and I learned how to use a new piece of equipment known as an audio mixer. It Was a new learning experience.

Apart from these things I decided to explore London and as it was a Black Friday sale I and my friends decided to visit Oxford market and visit the Tower Bridge in London. it was a very emotional experience as not all people are fortunate enough to come abroad and visit such a remarkable Monument I will be grateful to my parents because of whom I could witness this experience.

It really made me think about how the whole world has evolved since the olden times as even if humans have had the same Origins they could evolve into so different yet elegant cultural identities in India there is a fourth called shanivar wada which is a ground for and is on the bank of a river it was a capital for Maratha Empire for a certain time on the other hand when I was at London Tower Bridge I saw such ground fort on a bank of the river called The Tower of London. even though both are situated on the banks of rivers and our ground Force both have remarkable and Rich history. similarities and differences are two sides of the same coin that cannot exist without the other This just proves that we have the same Origin and are more similar than we think.

stay tuned for my next thought
