Song of fire and lights

I was very excited about this week's classes as during the first class in the week we had a Diwali celebration in the classroom there are a lot of Indian students in my class and we decided to Adorn our cultural outfits and celebrate the choice festival of Diwali in the class. we decided to help other non-Indian friends of ours and encouraged them to wear similar outfits resembling our traditional. everyone was very excited and we took a lot of pictures in the classroom.

it was Diwali back home and my parents called and showed me the celebrations that were happening back home even though I was missing one of my favourite festivals it did not feel like I was not home. it was my luck and coincidence one can say that because of Diwali there were fireworks in London as well and my room faces north and I could see the fireworks from my room it was just like home.

The second biggest thing that excited me in my class was a new kind of workshop that was LEGO serious play – an innovative tool to develop various skills needed in a creative industry or anywhere for that matter. Given a limited amount of time and a limited amount of bricks to create different models for different situations topics and challenges the main challenge was to explain what your model meant or depicted and this really developed my understanding of metaphors. We had fun as well one of the challenges was to make the highest tower with the given bricks in a group of four and our team won the challenge as we worked together.

Next, we had a photo shoot for our podcast as our podcast assignment was going to start soon we were developing branding for our group. the pictures were taken to put on our website which will be open soon.

my friend and I also went to Kingston to explore the market near Fenwick Mall and I tried Japanese food- sushi

this week was packed with action and adventure yet there was a cherry on the cake which was we had a fire emergency in our accommodation. One night I was working on my assignment and the fire alarm went off, we had a drill before but this was a real one. thankfully nothing was damaged as it was just smoke from someone's cooking and not actual fire. since then I have been really cautious while cooking.

these things will keep happening as experience is a part of life…
