MY UCA 😊
It’s been a delight since I moved to Epsom, a fine and peaceful town where my university and accommodation are situated. The people here have been accommodating and polite. My flatmates and batchmates were really nice and we made friends really quickly.

The first day I went to the university to get my accommodation keys, they gave us Travel Coffee mugs and Callender with a detailed welcome packet for accommodation. Being a student from Abroad these things really came in handy when getting situated and getting used to new systems.

My enrolment week started on 18th September. On my enrolment day, they gave us our ID cards and complimentary Beverages as welcome. They showed really great hospitality for students to get used to the new format of life.

Later in the week, we had Freshers Fair, A beautiful ice-breaking event, where we met different committees and students. Different stalls for some fun activities as well as important social awareness like Mental health, Sexual Health, Awareness against fraud, etc.
Plus we received a ton of

freebies, pens, notepads, as well as stress ball (lol… might need it ;P), and important information Pamphlets.
Overall the week was pretty informative regarding accommodating to a new setting new country and collecting ID proof documents like BRP (we went to Sutton post for it. It was a nice cab ride). We also went some grocery shopping and exploring nearby shops and places.
REMINDS ME OF…
An ancient Indian tradition of the Gurukul System – is where students live with their teacher for their whole education period and work for themselves, cook themselves, and study by themselves. It Builds confidence and teaches important life skills required in this world.

It's my honour to learn in this fine institute and learn alongside a wide range of students from all over the world. Learning about their cultures languages and more.
MY FIRST CLASS AND A TRIBUTE…
My first class this week was a direct tribute to Lord Ganesh (Lord of wisdom) as my new beginning of college was on the first day of Ganesh Chaturthi(Birth of Lord Ganesh).
It was a meet and greet with our professor Brian Johnson. A very warm and funny person. we had a nice icebreaker Activity where we were supposed to go and discover a book from our library and then present it supporting - why we chose the certain book.

It definitely made us connect with him and each other and made us familiar with our library and its services.
Stay tuned for more about the book and its review, and see you next week….
Wonderful writeup... Keep it up
